Overview

Automations let you create workflows that trigger actions based on events. For example, automatically tag VIP customers, send follow-up emails, or adjust inventory.

How Automations Work

Trigger (event occurs)
→ Conditions (check if criteria met)
    → Actions (do something)

Example Workflows

  • VIP Tagging: When a customer's total spend exceeds $500, add the "VIP" tag
  • Low Stock Alert: When inventory drops below 10, send notification to admin
  • Welcome Email: When a new customer registers, trigger a welcome email series
  • Review Request: 7 days after order delivery, request a product review

Managing Automations

Automations are configured in the dashboard under Automations.

Next Steps

  • Creating Workflows — Building your first automation
  • Scheduled Tasks — Time-based automations
  • Webhooks — Custom event handling

These are the same flows the dashboard builds visually. The flow builder shows what that looks like without writing the trigger yourself.
