## Finance

Under **Finance** in the sidebar:

-   **Overview**: revenue, refunds, fees and profit over any period;
-   **Expenses** and the **expense tracker**: what the business spends, by category;
-   **Integrations**: connect accounting tools.

The month-end workbook gathers the period's sales, refunds, tax and expenses into one export for your accountant.

## Tax

Under **Finance → Tax**:

-   **Tax classes** let products be taxed differently (for example food versus general goods);
-   rates come from tax tables DashForDevs maintains per state, including excise rules, and are re-checked regularly;
- checkout, draft orders and order edits all use the same tax engine, so the numbers always agree.

We keep the tables current, but you are responsible for your tax filings. Ask your accountant when in doubt.
