Subscription Self-Service And Emails

What subscribers can change themselves, and every email they are sent.

What Customers Can Do

From their account on your storefront, a subscriber can:

  • Skip the next delivery (the date moves on one interval, nothing is charged).
  • Pause, and later resume. Resuming never charges on the spot: if the old date has passed, the next future date on the same cadence is used.
  • Change flavor, size, quantity or frequency. Changes apply from the next order. A frequency change sets the next date to the last delivery plus the new interval, and never earlier than tomorrow, so a change cannot trigger an instant charge.
  • Update the card the subscription uses. This also clears any failed-payment count.
  • Cancel. Cancelling is final for that subscription and stops all future charges.
  • Subscribe again to a cancelled subscription, at today's price, while the offering is still active and a card is on file. If they are still within the cycle of their last delivery, nothing is charged until the next scheduled date; otherwise, after they confirm, the next order is placed and charged that day.

Address sync. When a customer changes the address on their account, their active and paused subscriptions ship to the new address.

Your storefront renders these account pages using the SDK and storefront API. Staff can also skip, pause, resume or cancel a subscription from the order page in the dashboard.

Your customer-facing terms are yours. DashForDevs runs the billing, but you are responsible for your own storefront's subscription terms, including automatic renewal disclosures and cancellation practices required where your customers live.
