Let customers build their own bundles by choosing from predefined slots.
Updated
Freestyle bundles let customers pick their own items from predefined slots. For example: "Pick 4 strains" or "Choose 2 brownies + 1 flower". Each slot has a name, a max number of picks, and a list of allowed products/variations.
Freestyle slots are returned in the getOptions() response:
const { options } = await dash.products.getOptions("everything-boxx")
// options.freestyle_slots = [
// {
// id: "fslot__abc123",
// name: "Pick Your Flower",
// max_picks: 2,
// options: [
// {
// id: "fsopt__xyz:attropt__abc",
// product_name: "THCA Flower",
// short_name: "Blue Dream",
// product_slug: "thca-flower",
// image: "https://...",
// variation_name: "Blue Dream",
// variation_slug: "blue-dream",
// size_label: "3.5g",
// in_stock: true,
// },
// // ... more options
// ]
// },
// {
// id: "fslot__def456",
// name: "Pick Two Brownies",
// max_picks: 2,
// options: [...]
// }
// ]
When adding a freestyle bundle to the cart, include the selections in the freestyle_selections field:
await dash.cart.add({
product_id: "invprod__bundleId",
size_id: "prodsize__sizeId",
quantity: 1,
freestyle_selections: {
"fslot__abc123": {
"fsopt__xyz:attropt__abc": 1, // 1x Blue Dream
"fsopt__xyz:attropt__def": 1, // 1x Wedding Cake
},
"fslot__def456": {
"fsopt__brownie:attropt__pb": 1,
"fsopt__brownie:attropt__choc": 1,
}
}
})
Each option card includes in_stock: boolean. The stock check considers:
When a slot option references a product without pinning a specific variation, the backend automatically expands it into one card per variation. This means staff adds "THCA Flower" once and customers see all strains as individual selectable cards.
